Fraudulent Letter Warning
A fraudulent letter that appears to be on Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) letterhead, dated February 11, 2010, and signed by a fictitious special investigator, Bob Proctor, is circulating in the Houston area. TDLR’s Enforcement division did not write the letter and is notifying all Towing and Vehicle Storage Facility licensees to beware of the falsified letter.
A legitimate letter from TDLR will have: your name and address at the top as the person receiving the letter, the letter will have a case or reference number relating to the investigation and lastly, will contain a contact name and number for you to call if you have any questions.

Una carta fraudulenta que parece ser en papel con membrete de el Departamento de Licensia y Regulation del estado de Tejas, con la fecha de fecha 11 de febrero 2010 y firmado por un investigador especial ficticioso, Bob Proctor, está circulando en el área de Houston. La división de aplicación de TDLR no escribió la carta y esta notificando a todos los licenciatarios de remolque y almacenamiento de vehículos de servicio tener cuidado de la carta falsificada.
Una carta legítima de TDLR tendrá: su nombre y la dirección en la parte superior como la persona que recibe la carta, la carta tendrá un caso o número de referencia relativos a la investigación, y, por último, tendrá un nombre de contacto y número de teléfono para llamar si usted tiene preguntas.
